First off I'm not from Queens I'm from Uptown Manhattan. But when I hear my homie Ron Artest shout out Queensbridge on television I get hype! He represents one of the Hood dudes that made it. And he also shows he doesn't forget where he came from. One of the best defenders in the game, but most notably he is known for fucking a disrespectful fan or two up when he was on the Pacers. He is killing right now on the Lakers as they are trying to reach the finals this year. In tonight's game Ron caught a air ball shot by KOBE in the last 3 seconds of the 4th quarter tossed it up and it went in for the win. Ron-Ron won the game for the Lakers 103 to 101. Listen I'm a big Joe Budden fan. Time and time again, he wows me (Pause) with his lyrics and flows. This man can rap, to say the least. Beef wise he has put people in their place, and with that statement comes the recent bullshit thats been in the air. He said a statement about Method Man that has been misconstrued in a way. Basically Vibe.com had a playoff type rap battle brackets set up. And they ranked certain rappers higher than others. The point of the matter is, it was interpreted to be based on skill and nothing else. But they had rappers like Mc Hammer up against guys that would destroy him. They also had certain legendary rappers, who back in the day could hold their own, but today not so much. Joey then began to name rappers he would destroy on the list. Meth's name came up, but even though Joe gave him his just due calling him a legend, meth took the statements to heart. Which led to various debates and other rappers opening their mouths and speaking their minds. Bottom Line Joey wins any battle Period!!!

CLIPSE and Security Interviews

So I entered this contest I guess you can call it, to see the Clipse in Webster Hall like a week ago. Where you text a number, they text you back, ask for your email address and you wait for an email. I got an email last friday May 8th and I was really excited. If anyone knows me they know I am a HUGE CLIPSE FAN! Like I bought the first album and the 2nd, I have all the mixtapes, from We got it 4 cheap Vol.1 to 3, to the Saga Continues, to Road To Till The Casket Drops. Even the "Official" Re Up album that was released by Koch I believe. I even have their limited release first first album, with Funeral Music. Point is I have everything! When Hell Hath No Fury was released, me and my boy Eddy B were stuck for months. They are my favorite duo of all time. The show was amazing, I was actually the third person on line so I was right in the front. I was in the zone with them from song to song. There are probably pics and videos of me looking crazy, but I don't care because I was having too much fun man. They have a great stage performance and they know every word. Today I had an interview with the security company that is employed by Yankee stadium. I got past part 1 and part 2 is the 27th so wish me luck. As usual follow me on twitter user name Carlito149. Well its that time of the year again, the time where every student becomes a hermit and stops calling their friends. All they come out to do is eat and go 2 class. I'm talking about FINALS!!!! YAYYYYY Excuse the sarcasm but finals have been kicking my ass. I have a lot of take homes this year, so that means a lot of late nights in front of the mac book. I am actually posting a little late right now because of two papers I was working on last night. So yea I can not wait to finish school, I have two jobs I am applying for and they are both jobs I think I can get easily. As silly as it sounds don't want to name them, because I don't want people to try and go after the same job I'm going for! Hey man its a recession, you gotta fight for yours! This weekend coming up is actually the last weekend you can party in Purchase, so friday and saturday are going to be action packed with one of the parties being thrown by the legendary group I am apart of R.L.E. . Sunday I'm going to wrap it up with a nice bbq with some close friends of mine on campus, we're calling it the recovery bbq. I hope everyone does well in their finals, catch you next week. Culture Shock was crazyyy. I had a great time I was backstage most of the time, met the headliners and had a lot of fun. I got some footage but I was working for someone so that's in the hands of a certain publication. So I'm going to post some pix some friends took and some great videos I found. Drake's and The Cool Kids performance definitely put Suny Purchase on the map. We had the blogs, and websites going nutz. We had all types of people on campus, from rappers to producers, to sketch comedy duos, here incognito, to see these two acts. With Drake's arrival it was a little more bigger due to the fact it was his first time really hitting New York by himself. He made his rounds to the important radio shows like Funkmaster Flex and Angie Martinez. And the crowd that came to Purchase to see him was huge. I had people trying to add me and messaging me on Facebook like " I know this is RANDOM but do you have any information on the Drake performance tonite." LMFAO That message came with a friend request. There was one instance backstage right before he went on, he asks Jeff how many people are out there 300? Jeff looked at him and said no about 2 to 3 thousand. Right then and there Drake put his face in his hands and started praying. Crazy! The Cool Kids had an amazing show, as they were running through their extensive catalog I realized they had A LOT of material, and I knew a lot of it. We interviewed them and they were really cool people. I also met the genuis minds behind ITSTHEREAL.COM, Jeff and Eric. Really Cool Guys, and really funny as well. I had a great weekend overall. Culture Shock 09 is going to be pretty cool this year, as we are getting one of the biggest new Hip-Hop artists right now Drake. You might know him from the show Degrassi, I personally did not see the show till after I started listening to his music. If you have been reading my blog, you know this kid is a big deal. His first mixtape dropped in 2006 and he has been putting out hot music since. His buzz is huge right now and we are one of the first colleges to get him on the East coast leg of his college tour. Thanks go out to my comrade in R.L.E. Kaz and of course the guy that put the whole Culture Shock together, Jeff Levin. This year's theme is Carnivale. There will be a circus, rides, and other crazy things running around during the crazy weekend of performances. Heres a pic of this year's logo. The Jadakiss album officially dropped yesterday April 7th. Please go pick that up, its a great album go support real Hip-Hop. Jadakiss also performs his song What If, which features Nas on the album. In other news, Drake has been confirmed for Culture Shock 09 and everything is signed and sealed. If you know me, listen to hip hop, or Have followed my blog you know this kid is a problem, and he is the biggest artist out right now. He is headlining Culture Shock on friday April 17th and will be going on at 10PM. I will have some goodies from the show the following day after so stay tuned. The big homie stefan told me I'm slacking with the entries, so as Joker in Dark Knight would say "here we go!" I went to albany like a week ago 4 a weekend with some students from Purchase and it was amazing. We attended the Suny Albany Latino Conference. Great workshops good food and great parties. Its been a hectic couple of weeks a lot of mid terms and exams and papers. very stressful. Blogger does not let me upload my video, so I am going to be making a smaller one soon. Another event that just passed in Purchase was Sextacy, I brought my friend Johan up and we had a great time. Crazy workshops and a huge party in the music building. Recently the internet has leaked the cover of Cam'ron's cover to his new album Crime Pays, looks like a fake but you never know. And in Jadakiss news The Last Kiss has officially leaked on the internet and the response is very positive. Some of the joints I heard are Crazy. So I will definitely be going to buy the CD April 7th. On the day of his release he will actually be signing copies of the CD in Best Buy on Fordham in the Bronx, so if you in the area go show love it starts at 7PM. I recently just joined up with a group called R.L.E. which stands for Real Life Entourage. We have a lot of things going on from parties to promotion, and the blog is coming real soon. Its been a minute I know. I have been really busy during this break, but I'm back! My vacation has been amazing. I've been busy every day, going out with my friends making moves. I went to the Ryan Leslie concert on March 12th, it was crazy linked up with a good friend of mine named Jaq. And I ended up meeting Ryan Leslie, Tyson Beckford, and Dame Dash to name a few. So its been pretty crazy the past couple of days. Since the new focus is to market whatever you want I will either be marketing the new Cam'ron album Crime Pays (pick up that new XXL with him on the cover) or the new Jadakiss album The Last Kiss. I'm still deciding, shit I might even do both. Cam's new joint, "I Used To Get It In Ohio" is CRAZYYYY!!!!!! Culture shock is looking good as I just got word from my sources, that we have made an offer to Drake. If you didn't read my last post, this kid is the sickest rapper/singer out right now. His mixtape, which should really be called a album is critically acclaimed and his buzz is HUGE! I was applying for a RA or CA position and was denied at the 3rd stage of the process. My sources ( I have many sources) have told me it was due to politics. Which did not surprise me at all. I am a really nice guy, but I am also blunt, loud, and honest. I am also not afraid to express how I feel. SHOCKER! Some people do not like that at all. I've thought about toning it down, but I will not change who I am. Due to the fact that I have friends that love me for who I am. Point is I needed to sort out my housing situation and good thing I have great friends on and off campus. I'm getting pulled in to the new and fulfilling my dream of living in the apartments. I have been slacking on the blogging yes I know, blame it all on my job and Twitter. I have Twitterberry for my Blackberry Curve, and it makes tweeting addictive. I LOVE IT! A lot of updates though I got for you so here it goes. I am already looking for a new job, because the back stabbing and dirtiness I am witnessing from a far in my current job is crazy. Plus I should be getting more money in this stage in my life. So I am holding on to it, till I find something better, which I think I have found. Another distraction that has kept me from blogging is all the new music out right now. Jadakiss just dropped a mixtape last week called Kiss My Ass and Drake just dropped his mixtape So Far Gone. So those two tapes have been in heavy rotation in my bb. Joe Budden putting some stuff out as well, his album is coming out soon. Back to Jadakiss thought, I just found out they gonna push his album back from March 10th to April 21. Well at least thats what I'm hearing, which if happens would be devastating. His buzz is huge right now, with the Conglomerate song with Busta, the How It Was Supposed To Be remix with Ryan Leslie, and his single Can't Stop Me is killing right now. And lets not 4get the Letter To B.I.G. song which everyone loves and they just released a video for. Def Jam is FUCKING UP! Plus The Dream album was going to drop that day as well, which would have been a cool pairing. A great r&b album and a Amazing Hip-Hop album. Come On Def Jam! As far as films go, there has been a lot of good movies lately being released. I really want to see The Reader and Jason. And I am also buying Changeling and Body Of Lies this week on dvd. It was a crazy weekend! It was good tho, visited Brooklyn Heightz chilled had a good time. Got a shape up in the LES on Saturday. Work is great, I'm really getting the hang of the movie business. I was 2 blunt with a female friend and I hurt her feelings I'm sorry, you know who you are. I am preparing for saturday the 14th, which is the day where every man goes for broke. She is great , so I don't mind. Classes are heating up, I'm really scared. O and I am officially addicted to Twitter, Thanks annmarie and thanks Linda! So for my new viral marketing class I have to write a blog basically on my life, opinions, and anything else that crosses my brain. I really like linda and ann marie, they are both great professors so I'm excited for this class. So yea I started my first day at work yesterday and it was better than I expected. I work in a movie theater and things move either really fast or slow. There is a lot of down time due to the fact people do not really go to the movies on weekdays but you would be surprised. Not to mention today was seniors get in half price shit day. So old people were coming in rushes (movie theater business term) no doubt catching heart attacks(just kidding) with movies like Taken and Slumdog Millionaire, which are both great movies. Hopefully no one saw My Bloody Valentine 3D, because then we would really have a death on our hands. It was good day overall though, I quickly made friends with most of the employees there and I can not complain. The real test comes friday where I have to work a 5pm to 1am shift. Then Saturday I have to work a 5pm to 2am shift. So it should get interesting. I love being busy, so going to work and going to school is a thrill for me. I was revisiting a lot of old G-Unit music today man. The wonder years where they could not do wrong. Each mixtape was crazy, and the albums were great. They will never rekindle that fire in Hip-Hop again!
